Exploring the intersection of nature, technology, and impact

A space where trails meet code, and innovation serves humanity. Join me on adventures through mountains, ideas, and meaningful projects.

Nature photography

I'm glad you're here.

I spend a lot of my time in the mountains — hiking, backpacking, winter hiking, snowshoeing, and exploring remote trails. Through photography, I try to share the beauty of the wilderness with those who may never get the chance to experience it firsthand.

Nature shapes my thinking, creativity, and problem-solving — it's the lens through which I approach both technology and human collaboration. The patience learned on long trails, the respect for complex ecosystems, and the appreciation for natural beauty all inform how I design and build technology systems.

Professionally, I've spent decades designing and building software systems. My work spans application development, enterprise platforms, cloud technologies, information security, and more recently, AI-driven solutions. I enjoy solving hard problems — especially when the outcome helps people or communities.

This site brings those worlds together.

Nature & Hiking

Hiking is where I reset, reflect, and reconnect — whether it's a long backpacking trip, a winter ascent with snowshoes and spikes, or a simple day hike at sunrise.

I document these journeys through photography, not just as memories, but as a way to share the experience and inspiration that nature provides.

Technology & AI

I'm an IT professional with deep experience across application development, enterprise and cloud systems, information security, and AI solutions.

I write and build at the intersection of technology and real-world needs — exploring how modern tools can be applied responsibly, securely, and at scale.

Social Impact

Beyond the tech itself, I care deeply about why we build. I design and build technology not just to solve problems — but to serve people, strengthen communities, and create lasting impact.

I'm interested in projects that serve people and communities, create long-term value, and use technology thoughtfully and ethically. I'm always open to collaboration — especially on initiatives with clear social impact.

Building at the crossroads
